Augusta, Maine — Maine Democratic Party Chair Phil Bartlett released the following statement after Congressman Bruce Poliquin and Senator Susan Collins voted to pass a tax bill that takes billions from hardworking families to give to the wealthiest 1% and large corporations:
"We are deeply disappointed in Senator Collins and Congressman Poliquin for helping to ram through an unfair, partisan bill that will do little to help Maine’s hardworking middle-class but a lot to help the wealthy.
