We have a limited number of free ticket waivers available for participants (including State Delegates) who would like to attend the Convention, but for whom the ticket price presents a financial hardship. To request a waiver for a ticket, simply email waiver@mainedems.org.

Delegate vacancies will be filled at the municipal committee level until March 31st, and then at the county & regional committee level until May 17. If you are interested in becoming a delegate, please get in touch with your local committee.

If you no longer wish to be a delegate or alternate, please notify us that you have resigned by emailing resign@mainedems.org with your full name, county, and town. This will help us provide municipal and county committees with an accurate count of how many delegate vacancies there are available to be filled and give other Maine Democrats a chance to attend the convention.

Nominate Exceptional Maine Democrats for 2024 Convention Awards

One of the most important functions we can do at the Maine Democratic State Convention is to recognize those people who are exceptional in their field. Whether it is for public service, party activism, or volunteerism and grassroots support, please take a minute to nominate an exceptional Maine Democrat for one of our three Convention Awards.

The deadline to submit nominations was April 30th - nominations are now closed.

How to Submit a Petition for the 2024 State Convention

Any Democrat can propose an amendment to the MDP Platform or Charter, and run for State Committee, National Delegate, Democratic National Committee Member, and Presidential Elector by taking out an online petition through our system and collecting signatures from State Delegates and Alternates. Petitions will be circulated electronically by the MDP.

We will notify you when your petition has been accepted, and when it has received the required number of signatures. Please allow us a few business days to respond to your petition after it has been submitted due to the volume of requests.

The deadline to finish collecting signatures and submit a petition is May 17, 2024.

Please email petitions@mainedems.org with any questions.
