CMP Parent Company Promised Consumer Savings After Passage of GOP Tax Bill, Then CMP Overcharged Maine Customers
Westbrook, MAINE – In case you missed it, two months ago Central Maine Power Company’s (CMP) parent company AVANGRID promised it would pass along all of its savings from the GOP tax bill to its consumers, including those in Maine. However, today, the Maine Public Utilities Commission voted to open an investigation into CMP after more than 1,000 Mainers received inexplicably high bills from the company.
