Augusta, Maine – Maine Democratic party spokesperson Tommy Garcia released the following statement on Susan Collins voting to confirm Trump-appointed Jennifer Mascott to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit:
“Time and again, Collins has supported anti-choice judicial nominees who pose a clear threat to women’s reproductive freedom – including her pivotal votes to confirm Justice Kavanaugh that led to the overturning of Roe v. Wade. Voters will remember Collins' record, and vote her out in 2026.”

Mascott previously clerked for Brett Kavanaugh and Clarence Thomas – two justices pivotal to overturning Roe.
