Office opening represents MDP's continued commitment to investing more, earlier, to help elect Democrats who will fight for a fairer, more prosperous Maine.

Westbrook, MAINE – Joined by special guest Oregon Democratic U.S. Senator Jeff Merkley, the Maine Democratic Party (MDP) today officially opened its newest campaign office in Westbrook. The new office space will serve as a community organizing hub for Democratic candidates running for office this November, as well as for the eventual Democratic nominee for Governor. At today’s grand opening, Senator Merkley applauded MDP for its early investments in grassroots organizing, a critical move that will be central to mobilizing Democrats to vote take action heading into this election season. 

"Maine Democrats believe that no matter who you are, or where you live in our state, everyone should have a fair shot at success. In order to share that vision with people in every corner of our state and elect Democrats who will fight for economic opportunity that will help grow Maine’s middle-class and strengthen our economy, we are investing more in organizing and outreach and doing it earlier than ever before.

In addition to the new office in Westbrook, MDP maintains a permanent headquarters located in Augusta, and has opened field offices in both Brewer and Dover-Foxcroft within the past several months. The opening of the office in Westbrook demonstrates the Maine Democratic Party’s unwavering commitment to ensuring that Democrats have a strong presence across every corner of the state. MDP is investing more money, earlier, to elect Democrats who will fight for affordable, high-quality health care; stronger schools; good, high-paying jobs; and economic opportunity that will help grow Maine’s middle-class and strengthen our economy.
