Senator Susan Collins has never been a champion for Mainers’ health care, and you don’t need to take our word for it. Collins herself has bragged about her record of voting against the Affordable Care Act “from the very beginning” and her repeated votes to “repeal and replace it.”

In just eight days, the Supreme Court will hear a case that could strike down the ACA in its entirety—including its coverage protections for people with preexisting conditions. Senator Collins’ vote for the GOP tax giveaway laid the groundwork for the case and Trump’s legal team will be arguing that she “knowingly voted to destroy the health care law” with her support for the 2017 bill. Now, despite the fact that the case she sparked could triple Maine’s uninsured rate, Collins has been adamant that she doesn’t regret her vote for the tax giveaway “at all.”

“Senator Collins has voted over and over again to undermine and eliminate Mainers’ access to health care, and gut protections for preexisting conditions,” said Maine Democratic Party Chair Executive Director Lisa Roberts. “We can’t afford another term with a Senator who isn’t fighting for us; It’s time to replace Senator Collins with someone who will never stop working to ensure every Mainer can have access to care they can afford.”
