Collins, who has already said she didn't regret confirming RFK Jr., brushes over dangerous moves with typical concerns and “alarmed” remarks

Augusta, Maine – In case you missed it, Susan Collins is feigning alarm at RFK Jr.’s recent CDC ouster – but she repeatedly supported him despite his long-documented anti-science views.

Earlier this summer, Collins doubled down on her full throated support for RFK Jr., offering zero regrets on her vote to confirm him even as he slashed cancer research funding, gutted health agencies keeping Americans safe and healthy, eliminated Maine jobs and canceled $91 million in funding for Maine public health programs.

Maine Democratic Party spokesperson Tommy Garcia:
"RFK Jr.’s crusade to undermine science and American health was well-documented and his anti-vaccine, anti-science views have been clear for years – and yet Collins voted to confirm him anyway. Now, her false outrage at his partisan firings at the CDC is falling flat to Mainers who will hold her responsible for supporting him."
