Westbrook, MAINE – The conclusion of the Maine Republican Party Convention has nearly everyone in agreement: the legacy of Governor Paul LePage is playing a major role in the Republican gubernatorial primary and Mary Mayhew, Shawn Moody, Garrett Mason, and Ken Fredette are working hard to out-LePage one another in a bid to claim his mantle.

“Instead of bold, new ideas that will improve Maine’s economy, create good-paying jobs, tackle the opioid crisis, and stem poverty, Maine’s Republican candidates for governor offered nothing but four more years of Paul LePage’s failed policies,” said Phil Bartlett, Chairman of the Maine Democratic Party. “Mary Mayhew, Shawn Moody, Garrett Mason, and Ken Fredette are running to the right because they know that out-LePaging one another is their best shot to win this extreme primary – and everyone can see it.”
