Vote NO on Question 1 this November

Question 1 is a direct attack on Maine’s absentee voting system. 40% of Mainers voted absentee in the last election. If passed, Question 1 would dismantle the system nearly half of us rely on to make our voices heard.

No on Question 1

It’s a threat to:

  • Rural Mainers who live far from polling places
  • Voters with disabilities who rely on accessibility
  • Seniors and others who need the flexibility to vote by mail
  • Working Mainers with multiple jobs

If passed, Question 1 would:

  • Banning prepaid return postage for absentee ballots
  • Preventing phone or family member ballot requests
  • Ending ongoing absentee voter status for seniors and voters with disabilities
No on Question 1

Voting absentee is safe, secure, and widely used across Maine. Don’t let extremists take that away. Vote NO on Question 1 to protect absentee voting.

Question 1 will read:

“Do you want to change Maine election laws to eliminate two days of absentee voting, prohibit requests for absentee ballots by phone or family members, end ongoing absentee voter status for seniors and people with disabilities, ban prepaid postage on absentee ballot return envelopes, limit the number of drop boxes, require voters to show certain photo ID before voting, and make other changes to our elections?”
