Westbrook, MAINE – Maine Democratic Party Chairman Phil Bartlett issued the following statement in response to Maine Equal Justice Partners’ filing of a lawsuit seeking to compel the state to implement Medicaid expansion:
“The people of Maine should not have to sue their own governor to force him to comply with the law – but Paul LePage has shown us that he is willing to stop at nothing to prevent people from having basic health care. We support this lawsuit and will continue to fight LePage’s obstructionism full-scale.
