    Maine Democratic Party Statement on Medicaid Expansion Lawsuit

    Westbrook, MAINE – Maine Democratic Party Chairman Phil Bartlett issued the following statement in response to Maine Equal Justice Partners’ filing of a lawsuit seeking to compel the state to implement Medicaid expansion:

            “The people of Maine should not have to sue their own governor to force him to comply with the law – but Paul LePage has shown us that he is willing to stop at nothing to prevent people from having basic health care.
