Maine Democratic Party Chair Kathleen Marra on Republicans’ Failed Attempts to Roll Back Maine Democrats’ Progress
After a slate of people's vetoes put forth by Republicans in order to reverse the progress made by Maine Democrats this past legislative session, Maine Democratic Party Chair Kathleen Marra issued the following statement:
“Maine voters put Democrats in charge to pass substantive measures that would make our state a better place to live for everybody, and that’s exactly what happened. Then the Republicans and special interest groups tried to roll back this progress, including measures such as banning conversion therapy and ensuring more women have access to reproductive health care, among others. But Maine voters have spoken, rejected these efforts, and reinforce the work of Maine Democrats.”
