Westbrook, MAINE – Maine Democratic Party Chairman Phil Bartlett today called on Governor LePage to sign the bipartisan Medicaid expansion funding legislation passed by the House and Senate:
“Medicaid expansion would extend health care to more than 70,000 people in Maine, inject millions of dollars into our state’s economy, and help strengthen our rural hospitals,” said Phil Bartlett, Chairman of the Maine Democratic Party. “With this funding bill, the legislature has made a good-faith effort to work with the governor despite his constant obstruction, and now it’s time that he signs this bill into law so that people can get the health coverage they need to need to live happy and healthy lives.”
