Despite having the second highest increase in unemployment nationwide, Maine received the second lowest share of PPP funds

 

SHOT: For months, Senator Susan Collins has claimed that the PPP has done its job, and argued that the data backs up her assertion that the program she wrote was a resounding success.

 

 

CHASER: New data released by S&P Global and analyzed by Axios has uncovered that the PPP failed to direct support to the states who needed it most--including Maine. Out of all fifty states, Maine ranked second highest for increases in unemployment, but it ranked second lowest for the share of PPP funds received by Maine businesses.
