State delegates will be voting remotely for delegates to the National Convention, DNC representatives, presidential electors, and members to the Democratic State Committee on May 29-31.

UPCOMING DEADLINES AND IMPORTANT DATES
MAY 23: State delegates and alternates will be sent an email with a personalized web link allowing them to view their sample ballots and explore the online voting system. For those whom we lack emails, sample ballots will be mailed on May 23 to the address the MDP has on record.
REMOTE VOTING CHECK-IN
State delegates must check-in to participate in both the remote voting occuring at the end of May, and the Platform and Charter amendment and voting process which will occur at a later date still TBD. Alternates must check-in to be eligible for an upgrade to state delegate. This can be done online or by phone. Delegates who do not check-in by 3:00 PM on Thursday, May 28 cannot participate in remote voting or the Platform and Charter amendment process, and alternates who do not check-in won’t be eligible to be upgraded to a state delegate.

ALTERNATE UPGRADES TO STATE DELEGATE
If there are any state delegate vacancies after the check-in process has completed at 3:00 PM on May 28, alternates from the same county and presidential preference may be upgraded to fill those vacancies.

REMOTE VOTING PROCESS AND SCHEDULE
There are elections you will need to cast votes in on Friday, May 29, Saturday, May 30, and Sunday, May 31. Voting will be open each of these days from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. There are different elections on each day -- please plan to participate all three days.

PETITIONS FOR CANDIDATES AND PLATFORM/CHARTER AMENDMENT PROPOSALS
You can view candidate petitions for delegates to the National Convention, DNC representatives, presidential electors, and members to the Democratic State Committee. We encourage you to do so to help you decide who to vote for!
You can also view Platform and Charter amendment proposals. The Platform and Charter amendment debate and voting process is still being finalized and will occur at a later date TBD.
If you are a state delegate for any presidential candidate that did not receive any of Maine’s pledged delegates, or you are an uncommitted state delegate, you will not be able to vote in elections for National Delegates. However, you will still be able to vote in elections for DNC representative, Democratic State Committee member, and presidential elector.
