Today, Lisa Roberts, Executive Director of the Maine Democratic Party, announced that she will be stepping down from her position in June; the Party will commence an extensive search for her replacement.

“My three years at MDP have been one of the most meaningful and fulfilling experiences of my professional life,” said Roberts. “I believe in the party’s values, care for the party’s people, and am honored to have been entrusted with shepherding the party’s work.

“MDP has a terrific road ahead. We have extraordinary staff, leadership, and committees across the state working day in and day out to make Maine a place where all can thrive, not just those at the top. As I wind down my chapter here, I am looking forward to time with my wife, time in the garden, and serving the party in new ways.”

“Lisa is quite simply one of the best,” said Maine Democratic Party Chair Drew Gattine. “She has a relentless work ethic, unflagging optimism, and a fierce commitment to the values and people of Maine. I count myself among the lucky to have worked with her. Her dedication has primed us to head into our next chapter with a world class team and one of the biggest, most engaged memberships in the history of the Maine Democratic Party.”
