The Maine Democratic Party/Coordinated Campaign is hiring a Deputy Operations Director.

The Deputy Operations Director will assist the Operations Director in ensuring that every staffer and volunteer in the state has the supplies and other logistical support to carry out our program day-to-day. The Deputy Operation Director’s role will be responsible for various projects within the organization, making sure any gaps are filled quickly.

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Coordinate and track staff and volunteer needs, including supplies, offices, supporter housing, and more
  • Assist Operations Director with the building, scaling, and implementation of processes across departments
  • Assist with the procurement and operational needs of all new MDP/Coordinated offices
  • Maintain vendor relationships
  • Maintain various Google spreadsheets and databases
  • Perform clerical and other administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications:

  • Strong commitment to Democratic principles and Party
  • Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented
  • Experience with Google Suite
  • Flexible and able to prioritize competing responsibilities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience with Zenefits preferred, not required
  • Goal-oriented and self-directed; able to meet tight deadlines and multitask
  • Kind, positive, team-oriented and able to thrive in a fast paced, changing work environment
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure, on-call environment. Candidates must be self-motivated and willing to work long hours, including nights and weekends as needed.

This position reports directly to the Coordinated Campaign Operations Director and the Coordinated Campaign Director, and is based in our South Portland HQ. This position runs through November 15 2020. Competitive salary and employer-paid health insurance.
