Remote Check-In & Voting

  • Do state delegates and alternates need to check-in to participate in remote voting for the Platform and Charter amendments? And if yes, how? Show Answer Hide Answer
    • State delegates who “checked-in” to vote in candidate elections by 3:00 PM on May 28 will be eligible to vote for proposed Platform and Charter amendments.
    • State delegates who did not check-in by 3:00 PM on May 28 cannot participate in remote voting to adopt the proposed Platform and Charter amendments.

    • July 1, 8:00 AM - July 17, 10:00 PM: State delegates can view proposed amendments to the Charter & Platform, along with the recommendations of the Committees on Rules & Platform. They will also be able to make two comments up to 1,000 characters on each proposed amendment. 
    • Saturday, July 18, 8:00 AM - Sunday, July 19, 8:00 PM: State delegates can vote on proposed amendments to the Charter & Platform using on online ballot system. They can also vote over the phone on the same two days from 12:00 noon - 6:00 PM.

    • Saturday, July 18, 8:00 AM - Sunday, July 19, 8:00 PM: State delegates can vote on proposed amendments to the Charter & Platform using on online ballot system. They can also vote over the phone on the same two days from 12:00 noon - 6:00 PM.

    • June 16 - June 30: The Committees on Rules and Platform will review the proposed amendments, and make recommendations on each proposal.
    • July 1, 8:00 AM - July 17, 10:00 PM: State delegates can view proposed amendments to the Charter & Platform, along with the recommendations of the Committees on Rules & Platform. They will also be able to make two comments up to 1,000 characters on each proposed amendment.

  • How will I know my vote was counted? Show Answer Hide Answer
    • Every state delegate will cast several ballots. Each ballot cast will have a unique five digit ID number. After submitting your ballot, you will have the opportunity to download a PDF of your ballot, which will have the unique five digit ballot ID number and list the names of the people you voted for. This PDF will also automatically be emailed to you.
    • On the election results page, there is an option to verify that your ballot has been recorded properly. Click the “Verify Your Ballot” button, enter your unique ballot ID number, and a list of the people you voted for will be displayed. Click the “Download Vote Audit” button to download a file that records all the votes cast. Those voting by phone can request copies of their ballots be mailed to them.
