Washington County's Blueberry Festival!Join the Washington County Democrats at Washington County's Annual Blueberry Festival on Saturday, August 16th, 2008. We need volunteers from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. to street canvass, staff the Democratic Booth, and register voters for the fall election. You can enjoy coffee with Tom Allen, the festival's annual pie-eating contest, and various assorted blueberry items from our very own Marie Emerson—and lend a hand at the same time! Androscoggin Food DriveThe Androscoggin County Democrats are holding a food drive for Trinity Jubilee Center in Lewiston. Items may be dropped off at the Democrats’ Office at 213 Lisbon St., Lewiston, between 10:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Trinity is in need of canned goods and diapers. Please help! |
