(PORTLAND, MAINE) - With historic interest in this year's election, Maine Democrats from at least 50 cities and towns in all corners of Maine will go door-to-door this Saturday, June 21st, talking to their neighbors for the first time since their candidates decided to unify behind the party nominees for victory in November.
Barack Obama, Tom Allen, Mike Michaud, Chellie Pingree, and all the Democratic state legislative candidates across the state represent the Maine Democrats' ticket for 2008.
Supporters of all primary candidates are invited to attend the Saturday event in a community near them, to show just how important it is to put an end to the Bush administration and all of their Republican allies who have enabled his policies in the last 7 years.
The 2008 Maine Democratic Party's Coordinated Campaign, which expects a minimum of 150 people to canvass on Saturday, currently has 15 offices across the state.
