Otten:
Says.... 'I will create jobs, as I did at American Skiing'
It is public knowledge that while Otten was at the helm of American Skiing Company the business was mismanaged and required a bailout from an investment firm. (McCue, Marian and Christie, John Portland Forecaster 3/10/2010). "...his salary went as high as $400,000 and a bonus or $23,000 in 2001...while the companies losses were pegged at 130 million. " (McCue, Marian and Christie, John Portland Forecaster 3/10/2010).
This Wall Street style accounting has no place in Maine. If Otten runs the state of Maine like American Skiing, there will be no investment firm waiting in the wings to bail us out.
