Senate President Beth Edmonds and Commissioner John Richardson Kick Off Grand Opening
(BRUNSWICK, ME) - Obama's Campaign for Change and the Victory 2008 Coordinated Campaign kicked off the "Grand Opening" of their Brunswick Office today with State Senate President Beth Edmonds and Commissioner of Economic and Community Development John Richardson. The office will be a hub for grassroots activity in the Brunswick area.
"We have an historic opportunity to elect a top notch slate of candidates including Barack Obama, Tom Allen, and Chellie Pingree, who will make real change happen for Maine," said Senate President Beth Edmonds. "All across the state, Mainers are registering new voters and talking neighbor to neighbor about the new vision, ideas, and leadership these candidates offer."
Volunteers all around the state are knocking on doors, making phone calls, hosting house parties, and participating in voter registration drives to make Democratic candidates successful in November.
"There is an unprecedented level grassroots activism happening in every corner of the state," Commissioner John Richardson. "Many Mainers are getting involved for the first time because these Democratic candidates are offering real solutions to the challenges that Mainers face."
