(PRESQUE ISLE, MAINE) - On Friday, July 18th from 3:30 -4:30 p.m. the public is invited to attend the Grand Opening celebration of the Aroostook Democratic/Maine Democratic Party Victory 2008 office.
The office, located at 404 Main Street, is the hub for Aroostook County voters to get information on Democratic candidates or volunteer to support Democrats in the 2008 election.
U.S. Representative Mike Michaud; Diana Allen (wife of U.S. Representative Tom Allen); John Knutson, Maine Democratic Party Chairman; Virginia Manuel, Aroostook Democratic Chair; and Maine Democratic Party Executive Director Arden Manning will join Aroostook County legislative leaders, local Democrats, volunteers, and staff of the Victory 2008, for the event.
Victory 2008 already has organized to a greater depth than in any other election season in Maine history. The campaign currently employs a staff of 52 people statewide, and now has at least one office open in every county of the state-25 in all.
The public and media are invited to meet with Democratic leaders and the Aroostook volunteers and staff who will be working from this office to bring about historic change in November.
