Friday night events to include youth-to-youth calling followed by discussions, music, art exhibitions and more
(BANGOR, MAINE) - The Bangor office of the Maine Democratic Party's (MDP) Victory 2008 Coordinated Campaign will partner with The Exchange, a local Hampden business, on a series of Friday night events aimed at engaging the community, particularly those under age 25, in the political process while networking with other local young people interested in both the election and the arts.

The first event will take place this Friday, June 20th, 2008.

The Friday night events will be held at the MDP's Bangor Office, located at 73 Central Street in downtown Bangor. From 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., young people are invited to come take part in youth-to-youth Call Nights, in which the youth volunteers will call other young potential voters and urge them to vote for Democrats in the November election.

At 7:00 p.m., a weekly event will follow that engages both the young volunteers and any other community members wishing to attend. The events will include music performances from local musicians, film screenings and discussions, political forums, candidate nights and art exhibitions.

This Friday's event will feature local band Hauk.
